Important Information

Homework

Many nights, your child will  have a page of math practice.  I encourage all students to work on math facts at home in addition to the practice page.

As I have discussed with the kids, I do not want anyone getting frustrated with their homework.  If something is too difficult, please let me know.  We will then work on it together the next day.

Reading

Research shows that students who read 20 minutes per night have better test scores, stronger vocabulary and are more successful in life.

I know how busy everyones' lives are, but I cannot stress enough how important it is to read.

Classroom Management

The kids and I created a list of expected classroom behaviors.  We work very hard practicing being kind, respectful, responsible and ready.

We will continue to work on making good choices throughout the year.

Birthday Treats

I love birthdays and am happy to help the kids celebrate their special day!  For each child's birthday, we talk about the traditions in their family, what would make their day extra special and sing to them in multiple languages.

Beginning this year, all birthday "treats" must be NON-FOOD items.  Examples include things like stickers, pencils or pens.

We will celebrate summer birthdays throughout the year!
